Co-Host Catch-Up!

Welcome back! We bet you missed us! We for sure have missed you.

Over the past week, life has been absolutely crazy for us, and we cannot wait to get you up to speed!

The past week has been complete chaos for me (Leah). I had to move out of the current apartment I had been living in as my 1 year lease was nearing the end. However, the apartment that I was originally  moving into was backed out of the move in date twice so we had to cancel that move. Instead I am now living at my grandmother's house until another apartment is secured. Fingers crossed sometime this upcoming week. It has been an extremely frustrating experience. The renting market is absolutely brutal for those just trying to get lives started. These management companies do not care if you have a place to live; they have an outrageous minimum income that must be met in order to even be considered as a tenant.

On top of the moving situation in Missouri, I am going through a similar housing crisis in Connecticut. I move there at the end of August. I've paid over $1400 dollars to take a unit off the market, and still I have not had complete transparency with the realty group that I am working with. Overall, the past week has been highly stressful and continuous waste of money.

Despite the constant personal and life tests over the past five weeks, I am excited to see how my new chapter of life in Connecticut will go. I feel that the opportunities are limitless and I am so excited to pursue every one that I can!

Lately, I (Marit) have had a lot on my plate just as Leah. I submitted my thesis and passed with good points! I am so glad that I never have to think about that again!

I have started a new job. I am very excited to see where that leads me. Right now I am in the training phase as I am learning all about autism spectrum disorder and how to help those struggling. Soon I am going to have my own clients! Additionally, I am going to have the opportunity to dive deeper into my passion and help those in the forensic system who also struggle with autism. As always with something new, I am anxious; however, I am confident in my education and in myself to know that I will excel in this job. And I am excited to make an impact in the lives of these people!

In other news, Michael made to over to the Netherlands! He is here to stay! I am excited to not have a long distance relationship anymore. We have moved into a house together and are beginning a new chapter as well. Overall, a lot going on but excited for what's to come!
